The operation can be Motorized or Manual
Motorized
1. Can integrate with Fire, Access, and Security System to Auto Open or Close.
2. Options for Single-phase and three-phase motors.
3. Remote control Operation is an option.
4. Push-Button Control switch.
5. Can integrate with UPS to operate during Load-Shedding
6. Recommended service intervals to retain compliance and warranty.
Manual Drive (Chain or crank)
1. Not affected by load shedding.
2. Can partially integrate with security system to sound alarm when opened without authority.
3. Can partially integrate with Access for “locking and unlocking”
4. Large doors can be labour-intensive to operate.

THE SCREEN
The Slats, The Guides, and the T-Bar
* THE SLATS
Typically made from galvanized steel, which provides corrosion resistance and durability. Slats come in optional thicknesses, 0.8mm, 1.0mm, or 1.2mm
Slat Options: Punched, Perforated, Solid
Finish: The galvanized slats may have different finishes, such as plain galvanized or powder-coated for added protection and customization. Wind Load Resistance: Specifications may also include information about the slats’ ability to withstand specific wind loads, especially in areas prone to strong winds like Cape Town.
Compliance: Slats meet the relevant South African standards for building codes related to roller shutter construction and security.
* THE GUIDES
Material:
Our Roller shutter guides are made of galvanized steel, which provides durability and corrosion resistance. Aluminum guides are available on special order.
Size:
Although we have a standard size depending on the screen, there are some options available. Common sizes include 50mm x 25mm, 75mm x 25mm.
Finish:
Like the slats, the guides can have different finishes, including plain galvanized or powder-coated finishes for added protection and customization.
* THE T-BAR
Material:
The Roller Shutter T-Bar is crafted from galvanized steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. Alternatively, aluminum guides are available upon special order.
Size:
While we offer standard sizes based on the screen, there are customizable options.
Finish:
Similar to the slats and the guides, the T-Bar can feature various finishes, such as plain galvanized or powder-coated options, providing additional protection and customization.

Two primary options include the robust Galvanized finish,
known for its durability and corrosion resistance. Fast and easy repairs in case of accidental damage.
OR
Standard powder coating colors provide a versatile and visually appealing choice. Slat and Guide replacement in the event of accidental damage can be delayed by powder-coating (Even Standard Powder-Coating) as replacement powder-coated slatts are not often stored in bulk by manufacturers.
Custom powder coating
For those seeking a personalized touch, Custom powder coating colors open up a spectrum of possibilities, allowing roller shutters to seamlessly blend with individual preferences and design aesthetics. Whether opting for the standard or venturing into custom hues, the finish of roller shutters becomes a defining element in both form and function. It is advised to purchase additional slats as Backup, in the event of an accident requiring the replacement of Custom Powder-coated Slats.
